Task
The main objective of this project was to reduce the museum's electricity costs by using innovative solar energy technologies on a flat bitumen roof. Since traditional installation methods would not be suitable for the roof structure, a new approach was chosen using flexible panels, which allow the available roof space to be used without additional structures.
Our engineers developed a custom solar power plant design, installing 30 flexible 520 W solar panels (total capacity approx. 15.6 kW) using innovative bonding technology directly onto the bitumen roof surface. The system is equipped with a 15 kW inverter, which ensures efficient energy conversion and integration with the existing power grid. Careful preparation of the roof surface and panel orientation for optimal sunlight reception was carried out. In addition, the system includes remote monitoring, allowing the customer to follow production data in real time.
Once the system is up and running, it can generate up to 15–16 MWh per year, covering a significant portion of the museum's own consumption, especially during the summer season. This solution not only provides financial savings, but also promotes sustainable development by demonstrating the use of modern technology in a cultural facility.
