Professional lightning protection and grounding

Protect your family and property from natural disasters. We design and install lightning protection systems (classes I–IV) in accordance with the LVS EN 62305 standard.

Why is lightning protection critical?

Lightning strikes are unpredictable and can have devastating consequences – from setting buildings on fire to destroying all household appliances and electronics due to power surges. Modern lightning protection is not just a "rod on the roof" – it is an engineering complex that safely conducts energy into the ground.

• Fire safety Prevents direct lightning strikes on roof structures, protecting the house from the risk of fire.

• Equipment protection Internal protection (OVR) suppresses power surges, protecting your computers, boilers, and smart devices.

• Insurance claim Many insurers will not pay compensation for fire or surge damage if the building does not have certified lightning protection.

Risk Analysis and Design Each object is unique. We perform lightning risk calculations (using the Rolling Sphere method) to determine the required protection class (I, II, III, or IV). We prepare a technical design that complies with building standards.

External lightning protection Receiver and drain system on the roof and facade. We use modern, rust-proof materials (aluminum, copper, galvanized steel) that blend in with the building's architecture and don't spoil the overall look.

Internal overvoltage protection A lightning rod alone is not enough. We install special equipment (B+C class arresters) in your distribution cabinet, which "catches" dangerous impulses if lightning strikes a power line or nearby house.

Grounding circuit construction System foundation. We install deep or surface grounding, ensuring the necessary resistance (below 10 Ω). We take measurements and issue a grounding certificate.

Process stages

1. Estimate We assess the size of the building, roof covering and location in order to select the right system.

2. Installation The craftsmen install brackets and cables without damaging the roof waterproofing. All connections are checked.

3. Grounding We drive in the grounding rods and connect them to the system.

4. Documentation After completing the work, we take measurements and issue a technical passport and an opinion for commissioning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will a lightning rod make my house look ugly? No. Modern solutions are very discreet. We use fasteners and cables that match the color of the roof and facade, or integrate them into the building's structure so that they are practically invisible.

Is lightning protection mandatory for private homes? Latvian building regulations stipulate mandatory protection for public buildings and certain categories of objects. It is highly recommended for private homes (and often mandatory on the part of insurers), especially if the house is located in an open field or on a hill.

Can I install the system on an existing house? Yes, most of our projects are carried out on existing buildings. We select fasteners that do not damage the facade or roof covering.
